Hello Parents/Guardians, Our staff works diligently to keep our students safe at school. I have a strong commitment to maintaining an open and welcoming building culture, while also ensuring safeguards are in place. In that continued work, my office staff and I collaborated with our district security specialist specifically on visitors entering the building. While we already have great procedures in place, we decided on a few adjustments. New office safeguards: 1. Over the course of the next month, we will have a camera/intercom system installed at the main entrance doors.
Please join us for our annual Halloween parade where students wear their costumes and walk the building. Halloween Parade, Tuesday October 31st at 2:15pm.
Family attendees will not be allowed into the hallways during the parade. Instead, you can stand in any of the following viewing areas according to your child’s grade. If you have more than 1 child, just go to any grade level viewing of your choice. All students will walk the full parade route so that parents see each grade level.
Tuesday October 24 at 6pm. Mary Dravis-Parrish will be sharing parenting strategies to avoid yelling, be able to meet demands with ease, and gain respect from children that create deeper bonds of love and appreciation. It is sure to be an informative session!
Many District schools are competing for a $10,000 energy upgrade! Zach Elementary isn't able to compete because of our awesome energy star rating already, but one PSD Elementary, one Middle and one High School will all get this grant. Anyone with a Colorado zip code can enter and pledge and give their points to a school of their choice. So if you want to get involved to help other schools in the district...
Hello PSD Parents and Guardians, In response to a community value of ensuring students feel connected to their school community, the Board of Education integrated this important outcome into the district’s goals. Connections are the result of feeling understood, cared about, supported, and valued. Feeling connected to others helps us to be motivated toward a positive future and make the most of our educational experiences. PSD wants to ensure that we are doing everything we can to connect with students and help students to connect with one another, their interests, and their future plans.
