About Me
Why do you love being a teacher?:
I made the decision to become a teacher when I was in the fourth grade because I really wanted to use chalk. I used to take the very small pieces home with me to teach my own stuffed animals and younger brothers in my bedroom at home. Obviously the classroom is completely different then when I went to school with a SmartBoard and more technology in each classroom. However, my passion and love of teaching is evident. I am excited to learn every day. I love the interactions that I have with students and how we have fun, treat each other with kindness, learn, and grow. I want each child to gain in confidence throughout the year and love learning. I hope students are successful in the community that we create within our classroom and school. I know this job is not easy and I appreciate the support from parents, siblings, other family members, teachers, students, and staff. Everyone is important in the life of a child in order to develop and grow. My motto is: TOGETHER WE DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
What do you like to do outside of school?:

I am a native of Fort Collins, Colorado and love everything about my hometown and state.   I was married on June 6, 2015 at Colorado State University.  My husband James MacDowell and I love to be active and spend time with our family and friends.  We live downtown near Old Town.  We love to ride our bikes around town, go water skiing or stand-up paddle boarding on Horsetooth Reservoir in the summer and skiing in the Colorado Rockies in the winter.  I also love to go to sporting events and cheer on the Colorado State Rams, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Denver Broncos, and Colorado Rockies.

What is a favorite quote of yours?:

Together we do make a difference!
