About Me
Why do you love being a teacher?:
Education is the foundation of everything! Teaching at the elementary level is my favorite, because I get to help my young students build and create dreams, all while teaching them the tools they need to achieve success in whatever they set their minds to. This is my fourth year teaching, but my second in Colorado. I am originally from New York State, where I taught special education in a variety of different settings before moving to Fort Collins in early 2017. While I am certified in general education, special education takes up a huge piece of my heart. I love helping students find success in education, regardless of ability or disability.
What do you like to do outside of school?:

I love exploring the beautiful state of Colorado, being outside, trying new restaurants, and spending as much time as possible with my friends and family- near and far.

What is a favorite quote of yours?:

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose!" - Dr. Seuss

My Classroom
Courses Taught:

This is my second year as Integrated Services teacher at Zach. You can find me in a variety of different academic settings. In the integrated services classroom, I work with students in small groups on reading, math, or writing skills. I also provide push in services within the general education classroom to help support learners in all aspects of their education.

About My Classroom:

My classroom is a community where everyone is accepted and respected. All who enter are treated with kindness and welcomed as they are. In my classroom everyone receives what they need to in order to be successful, and we learn and grow from each other.
