New Family Info.

Dear New Zach Families,

We are excited to have your child attend our school! In order to get to know them as learners and determine the best class placement for them. Please plan on attending registration; each is different based on your child’s incoming grade level.

Drop in anytime between 8:30am-4:00pm on August 1st or 2nd to complete paperwork if you have not already done so. It will take a focused adult approximately 30 minutes to complete. Students are welcome, but not required to attend. Please bring the following with you: immunization records, birth certificate and proof of residency.

1st – 5th Grade
Make a registration appointment. Please plan on a 60-minute registration process for both you and your child. You will be completing registration paperwork, while your child will be exploring Zach classrooms with teachers. Siblings are welcome if you need to bring them and they will need to be under your supervision. We will have toys, puzzles and a movie playing for them.
Please click the following link to sign up for your 60-minute registration appointment:
*NOTE: If you have twin siblings to register, please complete one survey for each child.

What if my 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade child(ren) can’t attend any of the days available?
We would like to meet your child prior to class placement to ensure the best possible class fit. Please call 488.5113 to schedule a 1-1 session prior to the first day of school.

What will my child(ren) be doing in the session?
We will have teachers and new students at grade level appropriate work stations cutting, tracing, drawing, leveled reading and comprehension questions, mathematics application work and writing to a prompt. There is no right or wrong your child can do here. It is not an academic achievement test. It’s simply a way for us to better understand the learning and social needs of your child so as to place them in the best classroom dynamic.
