ZACH ENRICHMENT FUND (ZEF)

The Zach Enrichment Fund (ZEF) supplements school district funds and pays for student enrichment activities, educational materials, teacher grants, and so much more throughout the school year. 

Fourth-grade teacher Ms. Nimlo says this about the ZEF: 
"With the generous support of parents, we've organized Middle Ages Festivals bringing history to life for our students, sparking their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Additionally, we were able to purchase flexible seating options, creating a more dynamic and collaborative classroom environment, and also replenishing classroom supplies. Our PTO's dedication to enriching our students' education has truly made a remarkable impact, and we are immensely grateful for their ongoing commitment."

School Counselor Ms. Fierro says this about the ZEF:
“I purchased a collection of books to support students' social and emotional learning with a PTO mini-grant. I've used these for small group instruction, individual student support, as a resource to share with teachers for classroom lessons or discussions, and as a support for parents looking for book titles to support their kids at home. The PTO has also supported the counseling program by providing scholarship funds for students to access the book fair and other school-wide events. Thank you for supporting all students, you are making a difference.”

Zach FUNd Run

ZACH ENRICHMENT FUNd RUN

The Zach Enrichment FUNd RUN is our school’s only fundraiser of the year. This FUN-filled event allows us to raise money for the Zach Enrichment Fund (ZEF) to support our much-loved students and teachers, while also promoting school unity and health and wellness. During the two-week campaign, students can earn class experience prizes and daily prize winners are announced every single day. 

One hundred percent of the net profits of the FUNd RUN benefit classrooms, students, and teachers. The campaign ends with an outdoor celebratory fun run where Zach students run, skip and walk to music as their families and teachers cheer them on! 

During the FUNd RUN campaign, Zach families are asked to make a suggested donation of $100 per child or an amount they can afford. In 2023, Zach exceeded our goal of $40,000 and raised $75,000! The additional money raised is spent on larger projects decided by the PTO.

The PTO greatly appreciates the Zach community for investing in our school so we can provide the best possible education for our students!
